The CDRC presents a number of dispute resolution trainings each year, ranging from 24- or 40-hour mediation courses to one- or two-hour continuing education sessions.
The 40-hour mediation courses consist of 24 hours of class instruction on basic mediation, followed by 16 additional hours of training in advanced mediation, including family and/or workplace mediation. The CDRC’s courses are interactive and engaging with an emphasis on teaching practical skills for mediation. Graduates of these courses are qualified to join the pool of CDRC volunteers for our community. The brochure posted below generally describes the training course.
We are presenting a 40-hour course during business hours from Monday, June 18, through Friday, June 22. The first three days will offer training in basic mediation skills. Thursday and Friday will offer training in advanced mediation skills. The basic course is a prerequisite to the advanced course, unless the registrant has had basic training that meets the CDRC’s standards. Please refer to the materials posted below to learn more and to register for the course.
The CDRC has applied for continuing education credit for this training for a number of professions. Please see the flyer posted below for details.
The training sessions will be held at Ruby’s Conference Center on North Reserve. A block of rooms has been set aside at Ruby’s Inn for registrants from out of town.

CDRC June 2012 Scholarship Agreement
The CDRC has a limited number of scholarships available for training courses. These scholarships reduce the investment for this valuable training significantly, and are based on both financial need and the attendee’s commitment to volunteer for the organization.
